Can’t Swim fans! Just as you were quickly approaching your 500th listen of their infectious new single “My Queen,” it’s time to turn your ears over to another new gem from the New Jersey outfit.
Titled as “Sometimes You Meet The Right People At The Wrong Times” (excellent name, we know), Can’t Swim’s thunderous new single stems from a relationship gone bad and actually incorporates words from a break-up letter written to vocalist/guitarist Chris LoPorto.
“’Sometimes You Meet The Right People At The Wrong Times’ was written on the back of a photograph and given to me as a parting gift when breaking up with an ex-girlfriend,” says LoPorto. “It really put so much into perspective at the time and eventually found it’s way into the subject matter of this song. It packs a lot of power and exciting rhymes, making it one of my favorites on the record. I think if ‘Stranger’ and ‘Your Clothes’ had a baby, it would be this song.”
