Underoath Announce Huge Comeback Tour, Playing Two Albums In Full

Just one week after revealing plans to play Self Help Fest and announcing that their two-year hiatus is off, Florida-based screamo act Underoath has just released info regarding what might be the biggest tour of 2016.

Set to hit 31 cities across the US, Underoath is reuniting to play not one but two of their much-beloved albums in full – 2004′s They’re Only Chasing Safety and 2006′s Define The Great Line.

When asked about the band getting back together to play two of their biggest releases, guitarist Tim McTague expressed his anticipation stating, “I think the thought of Underoath playing again seemed really exciting. We never thought we’d ever even want to play together again, much less be as excited to do so. It was a really cool feeling, and when discussing what this tour could be, it just felt right to play the two albums that our fans have held dearly for so many years. I think it’s going to be really special.”

Adding to McTague’s excitement, frontman Spencer Chamberlain joined in saying, “I hated the idea of Underoath being ‘over’ and I’m not sure what we are, but we are all friends again and that’s really the most important thing. That being said, we felt like now is a great time to do a tour and celebrate Define The Great Line turning ten.”

Pre-sale tickets for Underoath’s Rebirth tour – which include VIP packages featuring exclusive vinyl reissues, t-shirts, sound check access and more – are available now and can be found here. General on sales begin on Aug. 28 at 10am.
